Library, Culture and Much more

 

Fact : 

1. Every parent want to give all wonders and means to their kids. However, with this fast world moving in every day there are hundreds of inventions, new toys, new books etc. 

Money is not the only limitation in buying this. But limited space in home. Managing Time to keep themselves updated in the tight schedule of what's latest is another big challenge. 

2. Kid don't like every toy/game/ books . Mostly, they get bored with them too often. Only few from the lot, could make to their favorites. 

3. Kids grow faster . It just feels like, it's faster, but yes their choices and intelligence these days are growing on much faster rate. So are their choices, and likes . They need to keep updated, at much faster rate.  However, life of toys, books, games is much more longer. 

4. Upbringing of only Child at home, and limitation to get the child connected to other kids. Its a known facts, child development is much faster and better when they grow with and around children of their age. 

5. Culture - Sanskriti - habbits : playschool and formal school makes the child ready for the certificates, and knowledge needed for getting a recognized job in society. However, what's missing is the overall child development, which use to be a core schooling methodology in ancient India "Gurukul"; which use to be a package of  holistic education - language, Aryurveda, economics, Social Science etc. 

Solution : Library + Kids Social Club

The scale of library could be to start with a small 400-500 sq ft room, to big 2-3 stories covering 6000 sq ft, + additional open ground. Here now, the more is less, as kids and your passion :) 

Library - will consists of Card games, educational games, toys, Video games, Books, Musical Instruments, arts-crafts starter kits, sports accessories etc in addition to Books - reading/ audio/visual books. 

Varied and classified for kids starting 1 year to 15 years. 

In addition to above, a weekly/monthly session for get together and giving the glimpse of Gurukual Shikha by senior citizens or known expert from this field, 

Then it remains on your time and how you like to scale up - yearly, tournaments on indoor games like scrabble, Snakes-ladder could be arranged. Local cycle rides, walking tours, some community activities can be added. 

A small cafe-pantry for Kids can be added, with giving space for kids to stay there for few hours, practice instruments, read books, play together etc. 

Sustainability additional option - No need to invest and buy all new inventory. 

First would be reach out to well-to-families and collect the good conditions toys/games/books etc. 

Reach out to Toy store, their distribution centers : scope is to purchase the items at lower cost for the ones which are new, and good but damaged packaging. Also, this library is going to act as a promoter for their new product launch. So, they will certainly keep you posted with new launch, and can also offer a considerate discount. 

Possibility raise money - by converting this to Carbon Credits. As this business module works on circularity of materials, minimalization of product usage. And overall positively impacting Child growth and education. [ Personally, not seen such system getting carbon credits, however world is changing fast and this is Fair and considerate option for getting it regularized as formal Carbon Credits]
